Biography
Chelsie has been treading the boards along the South Coast since the age of seven having played various amateur roles, Maria in West Side Story, Serena in Fame, Laurey in Oklahoma, Anita in West Side Story for Curtain Call and Anna in The Rink, Annie in Annie and 'chorus' in Thoroughly Modern Millie for BROS, Oliver in Oliver, Isabell in Pirates of Penzance and Sandy in Grease for Arabesque School of Performing Arts. Her first professional performance was in 1999 in a Jim Davidson Pantomime Production at Bognor Regis Butlins as a Babe/Villager in ‘Cinderella’.
She is known by her younger TV audience as ‘Louise’ from BBC’s top childrens programme ‘The Story of Tracy Beaker’ where she spent three amazing years in Series 1, 2 and 3. Other TV credits include ‘BBC’s Children in needs Party with Pudsey’. Extra work has included ITV’s drama ‘Torn’ and Films ‘National Treasure II’ and Harry Potter and the half blood prince.
In December 2006 Chelsie joined SPILLERS PANTOMIMES to play ‘Fairy Kind Heart/Narrator’ in ‘Beauty and the Beast’ . Having loved every minute of Panto she was delighted when asked to return for their 2007/08 production of ‘Wonderful World of Oz’ playing ‘Good Witch/Aunt Belle’
Chelsie took her first dance exam at the age of 4 and continued her training in all disciplines including Ballet, Tap, Modern, Jazz and Contemporary. Chelsie’s full time education was spent at Stonelands Ballet and Theatre Arts School in Hove and Arabesque School of Performing Arts where she trained in vocational subjects as well as academic.
At the age of 17 Chelsie now attends Brighton Institute of Modern Music (BIMM) where she is studying vocals.
Chelsie has no idea where she would like to be in 10 years time as long as she is in front of a camera or on a stage.
